house hunters

As some of you may know, we're house hunting! Well, kinda. First we need to sell our house.. ugh, details. Long story, but we thought we sold our house in the spring, then that didn't go through (dang housing market), so now we're trying to sell it again, for pretty cheap if you ask me (again, dang housing market). But we have loved this house! It's a perfect size for us right now (Easton may say otherwise).. and it's been so fun to make this house our own, decorate and make changes here and there...

But, we're outgrowing it. There really isn't much room for Leyton to crawl around and isn't much room for an expanding family.. eventually. My must-haves on a new house? A dining room (realllly getting sick of eating at our coffee table), a bigger main bathroom (Luke's realllly getting sick of my curling iron in the sink). Other than that.. thick white trim, white cupboards and brushed bronze fixtures wouldn't be bad either. hey, I can dream, right?

Here's our house now, our little Madison Street abode.

So, anyone interested in buying a house in Anoka? :)

Pray for all this, for the sale of our house and the search for a new one! We're excited!

two piece?!

This means he's getting old. He's growing out of the onesie pajamas and into this two piece outfit? This one is for a 12-monther! Leyton, you need to slow down! He's such a long boy and his thighs are getting bigger by the minute.

It says "Bedtime Stinks." haha!

this is how he feels about sleeping right now.. Not too happy.

Then, after a long night sleep.. face marks and all!

And just some fun pictures of the little dude with his new winter hat!

Loves to pull himself up here...

and learning to gently let himself down..

my happy boy!

days with Mommy..

I love being home with my little man! I had a crazy weekend of photo shoots (6 photo shoots in 5 days.. 2 of those were weddings!) But the photo season is kind of coming to a close for me and to be honest, I'm really excited. I'm excited for life to slow down a bit so I can enjoy every second with Leyton. I do have to face all those thousands of photos to edit, but at least more won't pile up.

I decided to take yesterday off from working and just enjoy the day! I read, I made cookies.. it was great. I wanted to try a recipe for cinnamon oatmeal cookies. Not bad! Here's our adventures together.

Found a new use for the iPad!

my little helper.

The finished product!

Look at my friends!

On my trip to Iowa, I had the wonderful privilege of seeing all these great friends at once! And look at the boys! Not one girl yet :) It was so much fun to catch up and see the boys in action. Gosh I love em all.

(From left to right)

Erika Boone with her boys, Parker and (brand new!) Carson. So so cute!
Me and Mr. Leyton.
Julie Vanderpool and her little misters, Ryder and Gunner (Gunny boy, Gunny Man, bo bo). Oh I have a special place in my heart for that Ryder boy. He's stinkin hilarious.
Lindsay Binnie and sweet lil' JJ. That boy is so sweet and has the energy that we love about Leyton. He's so much fun!
Angela Thayer and Troy! SUCH a smiley and wonderful boy.

I love our boys!
They all have to much personality and are so much fun.
And I LOVE my girls! I have known these dear friends since high school... We've made it through crazy life changes, new last names and brand new sons!

apple orchard!

It's a tradition..
well, I guess this is year 3 for Luke and I, so that's a tradition, right?

We have gone to Aamodts Apple Orchard in Stillwater and this year we got to bring our little man! My grandparents are visiting from Colorado so we went with them and my parents. This has been an unusual fall so far (good, wonderful unusual) It's been super hot outside, so I didn't get the hot coffee/cider option this year, but we did stock up on apple pie, apple butter and apples.
Oh and an apple brat. What do we think this is? The state fair?

Leyton seemed to prefer trying to eat the fence than look at the goats and eat the steering wheel than drive the tractor and eat the hay.. you get the idea. Yes, his mouth is open in every picture... Just in case something were to enter that he could chew on!
Silly little boy.

loves his grandpa Kirk!

seven months.

My baby boy is 7 months old today! He brings more joy to our life everyday. He's crawling all over the place, pulling himself up on everything, trying to talk a little and just laughs constantly. We love you little man!

ps. We found his costume for Halloween. Any guesses?

trip to Iowa

We had so much fun visiting Ryan, Lisa and Landon.. along with a bunch of other friends. It was just Leyton, my mom and I who made the road trip. But it did mark another first for the little guy, his first cold. :( Oh so hard to see the poor little guy struggle to breath! Here are some highlights..

Hanging out at Ryan & Lisa's apartment. Their (brand new!) house recently experienced a fire..ick. It is being repaired and made new again, but for now they're living a bit of an adventure!

proud grandma!

diaper boys!

Love you guys! Thanks for a great trip!
